This bill should be looked at as an unfunded mandate many towns operate a single polling location and should be allowed to do so. If there are problems with congestion or long lines that should be at the discretion of the select board or councilmen who are responsible to provide appropriate polling facilities. The costs associated with adding polling locations for those towns at 15,000 could be cost prohibitive and require duplicate equipment that these towns would have to appropriate funding for.
