I have been a female athlete on girls and coed teams since I was in grade school. My concern with this bill is that it would lead to invasive and/or expensive checks to decide whether us girls are biologically this or that. I also think that separating out trans girls specifically is not the most effective way to promote fairness. In my experience, more than muscle mass or height, wealth to afford private and all year long lessons in a sport was the main factor which created the most competitive players. Trans girls have a variety of body types and abilities. If fairness and safety are the goals, remember each sport has its own ways to manage that. (Weight classes, heats in swim and track races, etc.) To have a blanket rule that’s stricter than Olympic qualifications seems to be overkill to me.
