I love to read, both my children love to read. I read Nancy Drew to Steven King everything in between. However I learned about sex while being raped at 13. I was clueless about what to do and so were my parents. No one thought of a pregnancy or a sexual disease, no one thought of getting me seen by a mental health professional. Maybe if I had, had more sex education I would have thought about it. Your over reach angers me children need to be educated about sex for many reasons a big reason how to protect themselves. The books they read are submitted reviewed by the education system. Teachers, Doctors, parents they have a process what you have is opinion If your opinion is in disagreement you can make an appointment to meet with your child's teacher. I did that I felt a book they were reading at a 7/8 grade level was not appropriate. They gave me the opportunity to speak and offered several books that my child could read in its place. In the end the book was read by my child and the class. They were right I had the right to choose for my child not the other children. J was fine.No one has the right to make decisions for others that decision belongs to parents, teachers etc. Mind your business let parents worry about their children.
