Parents should be the ones who determine which books their own children can read; these choices should not be dictated by one or two parents or by the state. Children learn by being exposed to different points of view and discussing these with their families. Banning books stifles creativity, innovation and imagination, while inhibiting empathy and compassion; our state and our world requires young adults with these qualities. Please oppose SB33.
