Banning books or removing classroom materials based on one parent’s complaint is a violation of choice. If a parent doesn't want their child to read a book, they should have that conversation at home. It is not that person's decision to choose for everyone else. If there are problems with a particular book, the parent should bring that to the librarians and schools boards as this is a local issue. A state driven process that will lead to unnecessary removal of books is not needed. I urge you to review history. Banning books was never the right step.
