Banning books is cowardly. If we only allow ourselves and our children to have access to ideas that mirror our own, we limit the intellectual and emotional growth needed to be informed, empathetic, citizens. We also stunt our ability to evaluate other perspectives critically, to discern what is best for ourselves and our communities.
