This bill is based on the falsehood that individuals are born as biologically either male or female. There are so many genetic variances besides the typical XY and XX chromosome pairs. It is also built on the falsehood that individuals who transition from the sex they were assigned at birth are a threat to other individuals. No person would identify as a gender they weren't assigned at birth in order to harass other people or to win at sports. Discriminating against these people is cruel and dehumanizing. It fails to consider how much higher the incidence rate of suicide and mental illness is among those who identify as other than the sex they were assigned. This bill attempts to solve a nonexistent problem and causes harm. When President Trump announced that humans are either male or female, a young relative whose life as an outsider cripples them with despair and the wish to die, told me "The President says I don't deserve to exist". This person and their peers deserve to live a full and healthy life. It would be unconscionable for the State of New Hampshire to deny that.
