I oppose SB 84 because 1) I prefer local zoning 2) I don't want NH to get built out like Massachusetts 3) forcing towns like Dummer and Randolph to lower their required acres will do nothing to help the working class afford house 4) forcing towns like Dummer and Randolph to lower their required acres will see more vacation houses and short term rentals built 5) combined with HB577 some towns with water and sewer could suddenly see their lot size drop to half acre And have two dwellings on that postage stamp 6) not everyone needs to move to NH 7) new houses on two acres will not be for the elderly scaling down or a young couple starting out 8) Matt Mayberry himself said the houses built will be whatever will make the developer the most money -- this bill does NOT help any "missing middle"
