Jessi Deming | Oppose SB268

My husband and I are both transgender. We have been New Hampshire residents since 2013. I oppose this bill not only for the harm it inflicts toward my community but the misinformation guiding it. Transgender people are not a threat, and only wish to live in dignity. This bill is no better than the Jim crow laws of our racist American past. This is not about protecting women's spaces, nor would it. Transwomen are women, and have a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We have a right to live free, this bill does not grant us that, therefore, are we to die?
