It’s so distressing to watch the day-to-day struggle of my friends and family in this country, while our lawmakers waste time on legislation like this. A bill that not only serves to fear monger against an already violently oppressed group (trans people), but to completely ignore the most modern scientific understanding of the genome. I would love to ask each sponsor of this bill where might intersex people go to use a bathroom? Yes, they exist - 1 in 1000 babies born in fact. what about cis gendered people who look androgynous facing violence as has already happened? There are so many reasons to oppose this bill and only one reason to pass it - to further push trans people out of society.
