This bill is a blatant excuse to make discrimination of a persecuted minority! It is a cruel, petty, and mean piece of legislation. No state, organization, public or private, or person should have access to the knowledge of what is in another person’s pants! This does not protect women or children. This legislation will result in violence (whether directly through assaults or indirectly through suicide) to REAL people with REAL names, people in your constituency, their families, their CHILDREN! Most violence directed at women are perpetrated by men who “dress as men” regardless of how “strictly” you enforce cis (“biological”) women’s spaces, and a high percentage of those women are trans women! It also would force trans MEN into women’s spaces regardless of how far along they are in their transition. The science has also been clear for YEARS, biological sex is a complicated topic and CANNOT be cleanly defined as just “XX” and “XY”. Trans women DO NOT have an inherent advantage in women’ or girls’ sports & legislation like this would (and HAS) discriminate against cis (“biological”) women who do not meet an arbitrary definition of “womanhood” (many cis women can have higher testosterone levels then cis men). This will end up targeting cis (“biological”) women of color and masculine presenting cis (“biological”) women as well! This type of mean-spirited and regressive legislation has no place in New Hampshire politics, let alone our daily life!
