Senate Bill 134 threatens to undermine support provided by home care agencies by imposing unnecessary and burdensome work requirements on people covered by Medicaid expansion. These barriers could take away life-sustaining care from individuals who are already working, caring for loved ones, managing serious health issues, or pursuing education. For many, access to health care is the very thing that makes work possible. Stripping away that access will not increase employment—it will simply put more people at risk.
