This bill will not only defy NH's cherished home rule tradition but open the door to dire environmental consequences that can lead to groundwater contamination, destruction of critical habitat, increased flooding and erosion, and impair our resilience to climate change. Rural towns know their own topography, rivers and streams, soils, and habitats best, and should not be forced to apply a long- rejected pattern of development dictated from somewhere else that is more densely developed. Instead - focus on legislation that encourages development in areas already served by town sewer and water infrastructure.
