I oppose SB84 allowing the state to override local zoning ordinances. There are reasons the ordinances exist and they are voted on by people who live in the town who want them. The state should not be forcing small towns to have the same ordinances as cities! There will be significant cost increases that small towns will now have to bear, not to mention a significant increase in local resources that will result from the premature and unwanted development. This bill will wreck small rural communities in the state. Please leave zoning requirements to the local planning boards and residents who actually live in the towns!
