In general, I think everyone should work. However, requiring work for all people who have insurance due to medicaid expansion will be harmful for our most vulnerable citizens, small children and mothers. In a more perfect world, mothers would be able to find work that pays enough to cover childcare and the basic necessities of life. For many mothers, this is not reality in our state and other states across the country. Ninety one percent of adults who are enrolled in Medicaid are already working. Passing SB134 would put another barrier onto children born into poverty by no fault of their own. For these reasons, please oppose SB 134 to protect are smallest and most vulnerable citizens. They need healthy mothers to take care of them in their youngest years especially. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Nancy Lucci
