I work as a family nurse practitioner in a small, privately owned family practice. The NH pediatric immunization program is crucial to the wellbeing of the children in our practice and the community as a whole. Privately owned family practices are becoming more and more rare, due to a variety of financial constraints. With the projections of continued cuts to Medicare/medicaid, our margins to stay afloat amongst the big corporations become thinner each year. The NH immunization program ensures that despite our financial restraints, we can keep the essential vaccines in our office and available for our pediatric population. Having all the required vaccines on hand allows up to keep vaccine conversations //education ongoing, and at times allows us to offer a vaccine in real time to parents who may have reconsidered and opted against a vaccine if not available at that time. For the security of private primary practice location, and the safety of our children in our communities, I compel you to not pass this bill to dissolve the NH vaccine program
