I am a retired nurse. I am old (77). I was the oldest of 11 children. I remember my first polio shot when I was in second grade and Jonas Salk was the hero of the world for developing that shot. I was in the Air Force for over 20 years. I think I have had every vaccine possible. Neither myself, nor any of my siblings had any serious reactions to our vaccines. Neither did we get any of the illnesses they prevent. We got most of our “shots” in school and I am not sure we would have had them if my parents had to pay for them. How can you even think of closing an organization that helps provide lower cost vaccines to prevent potentially lethal diseases. If parents do not want their kids protected by vaccines, they just refuse them. No brainer.
