The Renewable Energy Fund is a vital resource for New Hampshire ratepayers. The funds in the REF must be used to support renewable energy projects in the state. Renewable energy projects benefit public health and reduce health care costs for everyone, because they offset fossil fuel energy production and the associated air and water contamination.
