This bill is hugely misguided. If families opt out of providing birth certificate data, then we will never be able to study birth outcomes in NH ever again and it will be a really devastating thing for mother, babies, and their families. This kind of research allows us to understand whether our work to help families is going as planned. Parents who opt out will be left out of that data and will not be represented. This will hurt people like them. This bill must not pass.
