Northwoods Brewing opposes the filling of growlers at on premise facilities. There is no guarantee on the cleanliness and quality of such growler fills, which will lead to the misrepresentation of brand quality. Special training is required to ensure cleanliness of growlers, proper CO2 purging of growlers, and filling/capping of growlers to ensure quality. Many bars will not provide this training to their staff, which WILL lead to quality issues with the newly packaged beer in question. Not to mention taking away from sales at our breweries and at retail outlets. The quality and freshness of this growler beer will be below that of canned beer from retail, or beer consumed on premise at said bar. So no good reason to do so. Thanks for your consideration.
