I oppose any legislation that would make it easier to exempt a child from getting vaccinated. Our representatives are elected to protect the best interests of their constituents. One of the most obvious ways to protect your constituents is to trust experts in public health who have dedicated their lives to eradicating diseases and improving health outcomes. The vaccination guidelines from these experts should be continually communicated with constituents so that every person in our community understands how crucial childhood vaccination is for avoiding entirely unnecessary illness and death.
