It is far, far more important to protect our citizens, particularly children, elderly people, and immunocompromised people, through herd immunity to deadly diseases, than it is to indulge people's personal beliefs. This is not a First Amendment issue. This is a matter of public health, and it seems to me that "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" includes basic immunity to diseases that we either had, or were capable of having, eradicated.
