The idea of banning and also CRIMINALIZING medical care is abhorrent! As a medical professional, I am appalled at the idea that state legislators want to take away the personal freedoms of families to decide what is best for their own children. Gender affirming care saves lives. It has been proven over and over to reduce depression, improve mental health, and reduce rates of suicide. The United States of America supposedly stands for the idea of protecting personal liberties, but I don't see how a bill that prohibits medical professionals, parents, and young adults from working together to make the best decisions for the health of an individual human being aligns with the American concept of personal liberty. Stay out of our exam rooms.
