I oppose this bill because I feel it guts public education by diverting funds that would make public education excellent to private and religious schools. There's supposed to be a separation of church and state, for starters. As a childless senior, I don't mind helping cover public schools with my taxes, but I feel that spreading these funds for private schools will raise my taxes to un-affordable heights. I don't feel they should go to unregulated "home schools" either for that very reason: how are the "educators" qualifications checked and the students' progress ascertained? The State is failing to provide the good public education that I believe is written into the State constitution. Vote No!
