Government should not be involved in the personal medical care of anyone, including minors, based on biased personal or religious beliefs about sexuality. It's simply not the business of government to do so. In the relatively few cases of gender dysphoria, a real medical diagnosis, in a minor, the patient/child should be able to make their own medical care decisions with the guidance of their parents and their highly trained and specialized medical providers who have the knowledge and experience to treat each individual according to a thorough evaluation of their unique condition and needs. As an RN of 30 years who has always served in public or private schools and women's health, I have had patients over the years who are truly suffering from the very real condition of gender dysphoria. It's not made up. We need to leave their care up to the experts and give them complete privacy to do so.
