There are many reasons why I oppose this bill and why I oppose EFAs in general. I was raised to believe that in this country there would always be a separation of church and state. These vouchers (let's just call them what they are) corrupt that by taking my and others' taxpayer money - public funds shunted to the government - and shunts them to religious based schools. That is outrageous! Furthermore, there's little to no transparency about the use of my mandated tax dollars going to families for whatever they deem educational for their children. And zero transparency that I can find of how effective the use of those dollars is - did they learn anything that validates the use of public tax money? Who even knows? It's absurd. And now this expansion of the program so that even families wealthy enough to pay for all these schools and activities get to use my hard-earned tax dollars for their enrichment programs. NO!
