Dear Legislators, I urge you to oppose this bill. I have used the Office of the Consumer Advocate to help muself and others save energy and energy costs. These savings help NH businesses and citizens. The independence of the office is essential - the NH Dept of Energy can never provide independent evaluations about energy issues,dev especailly for use consumers who are residents and also businesses. Businesses can be more confident to remain in NH or to place their centers in NH, when they know their energy issues will be considered by an independent advocate.   Also, the current office works much more quickly to resolve problems than NH DOE offices . Finallhy, the staff costs are small compared to the benefits to all ciizens and businesses. Regards, Cynthia Walter
