I stridently oppose this bill. Public schools are in dire need of more funding rather than less. Whatever happened to the tenet of "separation of church and state" in this country? As an alumnus of a religious private school, I am well aware that tuition for these has always been the parents' responsibility. If the family is unable to afford the expense of private or religious schools, a public school should be equipped to be a more than adequate substitute. This bill is nothing more than a blatant effort to further advantage the affluent at the expense of the middle class, Additionally, property taxes in NH are very nearly prohibitive for the middle class. Raising property taxes while robbing public schools of much needed funding is a crime!
