Resolutions are well and good... and 35 years overdue. If this is a first step in reforming government ed into being responsive to kids/parents (NOT the monopoly union government pension fund admins)... great. It's about time. End public sector unions like Utah recently did. End school district boundaries. Fund the kids, not the system. Enshrine Parents as the arbiters of what is "adequate" in education, as they are in all other economic choices they make. Decapitate the DoE administration, replacing it with a per kid funding transfer. Do the same for college. Stop funding the system. Competition will address the vast majority of reform needs. Enact TABOR spending caps limited by inflation and population, with automatic refunds to taxpayers like Colorado did for 20 years. Burn Volinsky/Tobin in effigy for their greed, arrogance, envy, and sloth, as their lawsuit has impoverished everyone in the state but themselves and a few cronies. Make change legal in NH again.
