I urge you to oppose HB 748, which would divert critical local and state education funds to private and religious schools, as well as homeschooling, through an expanded voucher system. This bill would double the size of existing EFAs, pulling much-needed resources away from public schools and placing additional financial strain on local taxpayers. HB 748 also lacks oversight and accountability, allowing up to 10% of taxpayer money to go to a private NH-based scholarship organization with no public transparency. Public funds should be used to strengthen public schools, not to subsidize private education with minimal regulation. Please stand with NH students and communities by voting against this harmful bill.
