As a homeschool parent myself, I understand that while my child had an IEP while enrolled in public school, I am choosing to forgo those services and in order to homeschool. It would be a slippery slope to blindly give money to anyone who says they are educating their child. The details matter and it is essential that there is a separation between church and state. I do not want my tax money going to religious institutions. The homeschool education would need to be more standardization and accredited if tax money is going to support it financially.
