Passage of HB555 is of critical importance. Educating youth on the historical reality associated with crimes against humanity, making such events less abstract by familiarizing students with these issues should be an academic imperative. Firstly, recalling the familiar quote that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" - how else will young individuals become familiar with the past? Secondly, isn't that precisely the role of "education"? Thank you in advance for being receptive to public feedback, and considering mine!
