Nancy Martland

I live in Sugar Hill, which is in the Profile High School district. Profile is made up of two districts. One is the town of Bethlehem, and the other is the Lafayette elementary school district, comprised of the towns of Sugar Hill, Franconia and Easton, Seats on the Profile School Board are apportioned between the two districts, with Bethlehem electing some members and Lafayette electing some. This year one Lafayette candidate is from Sugar Hill and one is from Franconia. This bill would mean I would only be able to vote for the candidate from Sugar Hill and not his opponent, even though they are both running to represent me from the district where I live. In effect this bill would disenfranchise me. Do you see the problem? Please do not pass this bill as written.
