Dear Committee Members of House Legislative Administration, I am submitting this short testimony in support of HB 314 of which I am a co-sponsor. The use of public funds for lobbying activities forces taxpayers to support political parties, legislation and/or candidates with whom they may not agree. At the bare minimum this is a violation of taxpayer trust, as it is a misuse of funds collected that should be otherwise earmarked to support the effective functioning of local, county and state government.
