I am a conscientious NH voter. If abortion is not treated as part of the right to equal access to health care, then the lives and health of those who are pregnant are put at risk. Medical providers should not be afraid to help their patients make informed decisions, or to jump into action when their patient's health or life are at stake. New Hampshire is the only state in New England without any explicit protections for abortion access in our state law or Constitution. Abortion is a critical part of reproductive health care. HCR7 affirms the position that New Hampshire will not further restrict abortion - what many current lawmakers, and Governor Ayotte, promised on the campaign trail. Thank you for your consideration.
