I am a small framer in Francestown, we raise beef, pork, and poultry. Currently we sell whole and half shares of beef and pork to our customers. The lack of availability for USDA processing in NH has created a bottle neck for many small farms in the states. By limiting us to selling only whole and half shares, which can cost upwards of $2000, it makes it hard to for families to have access to local, humanly raised meat. Passing this bill will allow more families the opportunity to purchase local food directly from the farmers. It will also creat jobs due to the increase in demand for processing.
