I would like to offer strong support for this bill. as a custom butcher shop we take pride and producing food for our communities. Having this additional ability to offer smaller amounts and custom cuts to the public would strengthen communities and food systems. Much like the already allowed chicken and rabbit processing. The FISA guidelines could be used to help ensure food safety and sanitation. There would need to be some additional support for altered products such as ground beef and pork.
