This complicates the tasks of local school boards and educators by adding more uncertainty in their planning and potentially leading to overcrowding in "better" school districts with corresponding increases in local property taxes. At the same time it decreases support for local school funding by providing an alternative for those with the means to get their child to another school. A cynic might wonder if this is one more bill that is part of an effort to destroy public education.
