James Hiltz | Oppose HB317

This is yet another bill that is attempting to make it more difficult to vote. If an election official knows and/or recognizes a voter, which I'd believe can definitely happen given some of the small towns we have here in the Granite State, why should we not allow them to legally attest to the person's identity? Supporting this bill would be just another way to deter voters who either have forgotten or don't have access the restrictive forms of identification our state wants to force them to have in order to even participate in the voting process. We should be working to find ways to make voting easier for everyone, not finding new and obscure ways to make it even more difficult.
