This bill asserts "rights" of parents that actually and clearly infringe on the rights of others. Therefore, it is clear that his bill is not about freedom or rights. Rather, it is intended to promote a specific and ideologically-driven agenda that believes a single parent or small group can and should be able to decide what all children in a district have access to rather than just the right to make this choice for their own child(ren). This is antithetical to the values of a true and constitutional republic. Further, given that this state is already choosing to annually allocate millions of dollars to private schools through the Education Freedom Account program, if a single family or small group of parents find the pluralistic, open-minded, critical-thinking driven, and inclusive values of their local public schools distasteful, they have an alternative option to choose.
