I have lived in New Hampshire since 2019 in two separate communities, one a suburb of a large population center and now in a rural location. There are many differences between both, but a stark one is easy availability to healthy food to include meat. I am lucky in that I can afford to buy healthy food. I look to buy directly from farmers and ranchers as close to the source as possible. Supporting our own local or regional agriculture is not only the healthier option, but also what could support our small business communities to maintain competetiveness with the larger grocery systems. This bill would not only allow people to purchase healthier food in smaller quantities at an affordable cost, but could also spur the formation of new small business operations to help the business potential in our state. I'm sure smart people could get together to ensure food safety is not compromised. It's a no-brainer to support this bill.
