I oppose this bill as written. We hardly have student loan forgiveness for first responders, healthcare professionals, or educators. HOWEVER, given that representatives in New Hampshire are essentially volunteers with barely any pay, I do think employment protections are imperative to the work they do. We expect participation of our representatives, but this is an unrealistic ask for anyone who is still actively employed. I would love to see a redraft of this bill to focus on the much needed employment protection for our representatives. Thank you for your time.
