This bill would allow someone to buy a little patch of land somewhere just to send their child to school in that district, no matter where the child lives. By allowing people with the means to buy their child(ren) a slot at the public school of their choosing, this bill would exacerbate the gap between wealthy and poor families. I believe in a well-rounded, enriching education for ALL children, regardless of their parents' finances.
