Angie Hoxie

My husband and I operate a small farm and this bill passing would mean much more opportunity for us. Transporting livestock to a usda slaughterhouse is not feasible for us nor does it make sense financially, especially with the lack of options and availability in NH. To be able to sell cuts of meat at our farm from our mobile butcher would broaden our customer reach and grow our sales immensely. Only being able to sell a half or whole animal limits the amount of customers we can serve to 1 or 2 customers per animal. With the passing of this bill we would be able to sell cuts from our farm stand where we could reach dozens or more customers in our community. Many customers can not afford to buy a half of a share of beef or pork or have the means of storing that large a quantity of meat. So many people in NH are excluded from buying local, farm raised meats with the current regulations. I ask you as a struggling, small farmer please pass HB396 Angie Hoxie Sweet River Farm, Deerfield, NH
