This bill is clearly a fear response to wild and irresponsible remarks made by higher politicians. School nurses are licensed professionals with a Scope of Practice written in the NH Nurse Practice Act. Nurses who operate outside their scope are subject to sanctions by the Board of Nursing. This bill serves nothing less than to create fear and anger among citizens who falsely believe that school medical staff are performing sex change surgeries and distributing hormones to students. This bill is a waste of time and resources to perpetuate a false narrative.
