I oppose this bill. This bill only creates a loophole for wealthy individuals to access wealthier schools in our state. It does not fix the funding issue that has existed in our state for decades. HB 709 does not address the disparities in educational experiences and outcomes that are largely due to resourcing and funding of public education.
