Children in the foster system have a tough road. I think that ensuring that any income those children in foster care receive through survivor benefits, disability payments, and Veterans benefits would be used for unmet needs or preserved for their future. Finding their way at just 18 years old is hard, and anything we can do to support these children as they age out of the foster system and into adulthood would be beneficial for them and for our state at large.
