We're going to tie up $25,000 of taxpayer money for vouchers for people to pay to acquire birth certificates... why exactly? Is New Hampshire suffering from a rash of noncitizens trying to register to vote? I think we've had exactly one case of that reported to the NH Election Law Division, and it was a British guy who got confused and thought he could vote here because he lived in New Hampshire and owned property here. One case in the last ten years... and we need to introduce a bunch more paperwork for election officials and a cost to the state to solve this imaginary "problem"? This seems silly.
