HB 289 would put an unnecessary hurdle to voting for students who reside in NH but who have (a) family member (s) in another state. This bill would means the voting right is not based on the student-voter themsleves but on the voter's family, even though that student-voter is an adult. This bill is also unclear as to who may fall under the category of "dependent". I oppose this bill.
