I didn’t have a state ID when I first got to voting age, and couldn’t afford the fees. I did have a student ID, it worked. I lived and worked in state, and was fully eligible to vote, just had a hard time scrounging up extra cash for non-essentials. Please don’t make our right to vote any more difficult than it needs to be.
